Kam Pek Market transforms a 1920s Art Deco community building on Macau’s historic San Ma Lo into a vibrant food market. Studio Illumine’s lighting acts as the connective tissue between heritage and contemporary energy.
Inside, coloured linear light, warm integrated lighting, deep-set downlights and anti-glare accents balance visual comfort with material richness. Linear tubes positioned above perforated metal ceilings diffuse soft halos through the mesh, while carefully rendered light helps fresh ingredients appear vivid and authentic.
